When an ESX host and associated virtual machines are removed from VirtualCenter, VDM removes those virtual machines that are powered off or suspended from the VDM directory.

When disconnecting an ESX host used by VDM, virtual machines that are powered off or suspended will be lost.

Back up VDM configuration data before disconnecting ESX hosts from VirtualCenter.
