Set netPktHeapMinSize=32 and netPktHeapMaxSize=128 to Enable Jumbo Frames and NetQueue (1004593)
Details
The combination of enabling VMware NetQueue and using jumbo frames can cause the network stack to run out of heap with the default values for netPktHeapMinSize and netPktHeapMaxSize.
Solution
Set the netPktHeapMinSize and netPktHeapMaxSizeVMkernel parameters as follows:
Note: This procedure does not apply to ESX/ESXi 4.1 or later.

Log in to VMware Infrastructure/vSphere Client.

Click the Configuration tab for the ESX host.

Click Advanced Settings.

Click VMkernel.

Find the corresponding value field for VMkernel.Boot.netPktHeapMaxSize and enter 128.

Find the corresponding value field for VMkernel.Boot.netPktHeapMinSize and enter 32.

Click OK to save the changes.

Reboot the ESX host.
