UserDuct_Open Fails During Crossdup with VMK_WOULD_BLOCK or Waiters List Not Empty Warnings

I am creating a high availability (HA) configuration using the command line interface.
 
I received the following messages and warnings:
WARNING: UWVMKSyscall: 2715: Inheriting initial fds failed: Would block
WARNING: UserSocketInet: 544: waiters list not empty!
 
The end result is that one of the agent process does not start and the HA configuration fails.

Solution

An internal consistency check in the vmkernel is failing. This is suspicious, though not a fatal problem.

Receiving these warnings while trying to configure for HA through the command line, is a known error for ESX Server 3i, version 3.5, update 1. Seeing this error in any other situation should be considered a different problem and reported as such.
 
There is no workaround at this time.
