Reset Sensors In VI Client Returns General System Error (1004256)

Details

When I click the Reset Sensors link in the Health Status page of the VI Client, I receive a message, "General system error occurred". How can I reset the sensors?

Solution

On certain servers, when you attempt to reset the health sensors through the VI Client, you might receive a message, "A general system error occurred:" and the sensor might not reset as expected.
 
This might occur a few times out of 10 to 15 attempts.
 
Click the Reset Sensors link again and the sensors should reset as expected.
