When Creating or Editing Desktops, Vista Desktops Do Not Show Up in the List (1003767)

Details

If you are using Windows Vista desktops with VMware Infrastructure 3.0.x, Windows Vista desktops might get reported as Windows NT desktops and therefore will not show up in the list when creating or editing desktops. As a result, the Windows Vista virtual machines might get removed from the list when editing desktops.

Solution

If you are using VMware Infrastructure 3.0.x with Windows Vista desktops, make sure that any Windows Vista virtual machines added to the desktop are still selected. VMware recommends using VMware Infrastructure 3.5 with Windows Vista desktops to avoid this issue.
