Relocation Task Reports as Successfully Completed Even Though Virtual Machines Have Not Actually Been Relocated

Details

A relocation task that includes a heterogeneous group of VMFS-2 and VMFS-3 virtual machines will report as successfully completed, even though the VMFS-2 virtual machines are not relocated. This issue does not affect migration operations.

Solution

Upgrade VMFS-2 volumes to VMFS-3 before attempting to relocate virtual machines on VMFS-2.
