Changing Disk Configurations While Cloning a Virtual Machine Can Trigger Unpredictable Behavior

Be cautious when you use the experimental Edit Virtual Hardware option while cloning a virtual machine. You might experience problems when you try to change the disk configurations. You are likely to be successful in adding or removing disks. However, changing the size of a disk might not work.

Solution

There is no workaround. This feature is experimental.
