A Licensed ESX Server 2.x Host Erroneously Appears to Be Using Evaluation Mode

Details

If an ESX Server 2.x host is connected to a VirtualCenter Server 2.5 host that is using evaluation mode, the ESX Server 2.x host appears to be using evaluation mode, too, even though the ESX Server 2.x host is licensed.

Solution

This is an error in the VI Client user interface. There is no operational impact. The ESX Server 2.x host continues to operate in licensed mode.
