Custom Scripts Configured to Run During Virtual Machine Events Will Be Executed Even if the Execution of the Scripts Is Disabled (1003050)

Details

Custom scripts can be executed on special virtual machine events such as power on, power off, suspend, or resume. One of the ways to specify the scripts and enable them is through the VI Client. When a script is specified for a particular event, it will be executed even when the execution of script for that particular event is disabled.

Solution

As a workaround, do not specify a script when you do not want to execute one.

Keywords

scripts; script execution
