How do I avoid the server reboot prompt after patch installation using upgrade.pl ?

Solution

A server reboot is required for patch installation in ESX Server 2.x. After patch installation, an automatic reboot prompt is present. In ESX Server 2.5.5 there is a new option available with upgrade.pl to avoid server reboot prompt after upgrading. Use the -noreboot option with upgrade.pl to avoid having to reboot the server once the upgrade is completed.

# /upgrade.pl –noreboot
