Benign Warning Message When Running vm-support (1002105)

Details

When I run vm-support to collect diagnostic logs from my ESX Server 2.5.5 system, I see the following warning messages:

Either could not run esxupdate -l query or could not write to /tmp/esxupdate-patch-history.24688.txt

Do you have a full disk?

What should I do?

Solution

These messages are benign and can safely be ignored. Despite the warnings, vm-support is functioning as expected and collecting appropriate diagnostic information.
