Client Backups Fail with Firewall Enabled (1001564)
Details
With the Backup Client installed in ESX Server service console, client backups fail with a firewall enabled.
Solution
For BackupExec 11d, do one of the following:
1. Turn down the firewall and run Backup Jobs.
2. Open 10000-10200 range of ports in BackupExec 11d server only.
3. Open 8192-8198 in both BackupExec 11d server and in the service console. (The range of ports opened in this option is less, so this would be better.)
For Legato Networker 7.3.2 with JumboUpdate1, do one of the following:
1. Turn down the firewall and run Backup Jobs.
2. Open 7937-7956 range of ports both in Legato Networker seerver and in the service console.
For Brightstor-Arcserver r11.5 SP1, do one of the following:
1.Turn down the firewall and run Backup Jobs.
2.Open 6051 port in the service console only.
