ESX Server 2.5.4 Patch: Proc Node Not Updated When QLE2460 HBA Speed Changes to 2Gbps in BIOS (1000865)

Details

The proc node is not updated when the speed of a 4Gbps Qlogic HBA is changed to either 2Gbps or 1Gbps in the BIOS. Is there a way to update it?

Solution

This situation occurs when you use 4Gbps Qlogic HBAs because the Qlogic driver does not read the Qlogic BIOS to determine the current speed. It always displays 4Gbps.

 
There is no solution at this time.
