Warning "UNSUPPORTED flags (0x1) -> EINVAL" Sent to Log During Virtual Machine Initialization

Details

During virtual machine initialization, the warning UNSUPPORTED flags (0x1) -> EINVAL is logged in  /var/log/vmkernel log. The condition and the warning message do not affect system performance and can be disregarded.

Solution

In VMware ESX Server software versions 3.0.2 and higher, the warning message is supressed and does not appear in the log.
