Obtaining a VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise License

1. License Activation
   
   You can access and activate your licenses for VMware Converter Enterprise on the VMware Web-based license portal at http://www.vmware.com/download/licensing.html.
   
   
2. VMware Product Licensing
   
   Click Manage VMware Product Licenses. This link directs you to http://www.vmware.com/licensemgmt. Enter your login information.
   
   
3. License Verification
   
   Under My Product Licenses, check to see if there are any entries corresponding to VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise.
   
   If you see VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise listed, you can also see information regarding the number of licenses purchased, activated and available for activation.
   
   The My License Files section provides information about your VMware product licenses that you have activated and generated previously.
   
   
4. License Generation
   
   In order to activate an available license for VMware Converter Enterprise, click the New button to begin the New License File creation.
   
   
5. Create License File - Licensing Model
   
   Select Single Host and click Next.
   
   
6. Create License File - License Quantities
   
   In the # to Activate column, enter the number of licenses to include in the new license file.
   
   Note: The number of licenses should not be greater than 1. If you have multiple licenses of VMware Converter Enterprise available to be activated, repeat these steps for each available license.
   
   
7. Create License File - Confirm
   
   Verify License Model Single Host License Server for VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise. Click Finish.
   
   
8. Create License File - Success!
   
   Select Download Now and/or Send E-mail. Click Done.
   
   Save the downloaded license file to a location on the system where VMware Converter is installed.
   
   
9. My Product Licenses
   
   Verify that your VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise licenses have been successfully activated.
   
   Congratulations! You have successfully completed the activation process and created your license file.

1. Launch the VMware Converter application installed on your system.
   
   
2. Click Administration - Licensing Information - Add License.
   
   
3. Locate your VMware Converter Enterprise license file that you downloaded earlier. The license file has a .lic extension and the default file name (if unchanged) is VMwareSoftware.lic .
   
   
4. Once you have provided your license file to the VMware Converter application, the Enterprise functionalities will be unlocked.
