Locating VMware Serial Number online

Purpose

This article provides you with a procedure to locate purchased or registered serial numbers online.

Resolution

After you purchase your VMware products which do not have Support and Subscription (SnS), like VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation, you need to register the license key or serial number under your account by going to www.vmware.com/registernow.
 
You can locate the serial numbers for all VMware products registered under your account by going to the Support Tools page on VMware website:
  1. Navigate to https://www.vmware.com/support/tools/index.html.
  2. Click View Your Products.
  3. Log in to your account (if you are not already logged in).
This page lets you view all your VMware product serial numbers and their related order numbers & contracts. You can also sort the data by clicking on each column heading.  
 
Note: To receive the complimentary email support that is included with your VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation license purchase, you need to ensure that the license key is registered.
