ESX Server Checks Out Multiple Licenses When Name Resolution is Misconfigured
Details
ESX Server might check out more than one license. This typically occurs when the server comes back online after an improper shutdown. This problem only occurs when License Server is in served licensing mode.
Solution
Ensure ESX Server and License Server have properly configured name resolution systems. This typically means properly configuring DNS or NIS on License Server and ESX Server. If any corrections to the name resolution system are required, reboot the ESX Server system after making those changes.
