ESX Server Installation Fails When a Root Partition of 100GB or Larger Is Specified

On systems using the SAS ADP9410 and PERC 4e/si hard disk controllers, installation fails if the root partition is set to 100GB or larger.

VMware recommends a root partition size of 5GB. See the Installation and Upgrade Guide at http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_installation_guide.pdf for more information.

If you need a root partition of 100GB or larger, do not use these hard disk controllers.
