VirtualCenter Consolidation Service Usernames and Passwords Must Use Only ASCII Characters
Details
Credentials used for the consolidation service, as well as the administrative accounts on physical machines to be analyzed, must consist of standard ASCII characters. These are typically any characters that can be typed on a US/English keyboard. Special characters from other languages and ALT characters will cause authentication to fail.
Solution
If non-ASCII usernames or passwords are used for the consolidation service account or administrative account on physical machines to be analyzed or consolidated, change these to ASCII-based usernames or passwords.
