Upgrading VMware Consolidated Backup Version 1.0.x to Version 1.1 Causes the Installer to Hang

Details

When you upgrade VMware Consolidated Backup version 1.0.x to version 1.1, the installer might occasionally hang.

Solution

To fix this problem, perform the following procedure:
  1. Exit the installer. If your VCB proxy system is frozen or locked, reboot the system.
  2. Uninstall Consolidated Backup version 1.0.2 or 1.0.3, by using Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Install Consolidated Backup version 1.1.
