Data Digest Not Supported on Windows Virtual Machines

Details

Enabling data digest for iSCSI causes Windows virtual machines to power on slowly, due to a data digest CRC checksum mismatch.
 
Header digest is supported on all supported guest operating systems. Data digest is supported on all operating systems except Windows.

Solution

Do not enable data digest on hosts running Windows virtual machines. For more information, see Configuration of HeaderDigest and DataDigest elements for software iSCSI (1007365).
