If you install or uninstall VMware Fusion on a Mac that already has the Cisco VPN client installed, existing VPN network connections might fail with the message
Error 51: Unable to communicate with the VPN subsystem
.
Solution
Upgrade to VMware Fusion version 1.1 or higher.
