The Pocket ACE performance test creates inconsistent results. When you use a USB device that does not perform well, the following message appears:
The drive you have selected is not recommended for use with Pocket ACE because data transfers to it are too slow for satisfactory results. Verify that the drive, connection method, and host computer meet the recommended configuration for Pocket ACE. Do you want to proceed anyway?
When you use the same USB devices on other systems, however, you might not receive this error message.
Solution
The test measures both the device speed and the environment where the device is being run. Therefore, the performance problem might be caused by the USB device or by the environment on the system.
